On 22nd November, we celebrated our Annual Dinner at the Shelbourne Hotel with 250 guests coming together to celebrate our feature year classes of 2014, 2004, 1994 and 1984. Conor Killeen was presented with the Union award, so thoroughly deserved for everything he has done for the school as a member of the school’s management board and supporter of the Union. Shobsy, class of 2013, and first musician to ever perform at the dinner stole the show however in providing the post dinner entertainment with three songs and an encore. For anyone who missed them, all four songs can be found on the Unions Facebook page. Thank you as always to all our sponsors in supporting the dinner.
Union Award
The 2024 Union Award recipient was Conor Killeen (Class of 1977).
One of the most respected financiers in the Irish market, Conor began his career in New York with First Boston, subsequently moving to London where he ran Equity Capital Markets, first at Schroders, then at UBS, before serving as Head of Equities at Dresdner Kleinwort. He returned to Dublin with his family in 2001, founding Key Capital – a full service boutique providing Corporate Finance, Wealth Management and Investment Management advisory services to their clients.
Conor started in St. Michael’s at age five, and completed his Leaving Certificate in the College – only the 3rd year to do so – in 1977. He has been an outstanding supporter of the College and the Union, serving for 11 years as a member of the College Board of Management.
