Fellow Past pupils,

I am delighted to serve as President of your Union for 2011/2012.

The Union, through its various events and activities provides an excellent forum for past pupils of all generations to connect with each other.  In the current climate making the connection can be helpful and all-important, for example getting a steer on a career choice or business opportunity.

Your union is very active with events for past pupils and events in conjunction with the college and with the community.  The events organised by the Union for past pupils include the Annual Dinner, the Business Lunch and the Golf Outing amongst others. Each of these events can be booked through the website.

This year your committee is focused on strengthening the organization of the union, adding more events with the college and the community, and extending and deepening our contact with past pupils. The new website which facilitates booking of events, updating membership details and supporting the Flaming Sword, will greatly assist in this objective.

By registering as a member on the homepage, the Union will be able to stay in touch with you and keep you posted on forthcoming events.  I would encourage you to register if you have not already done so.

Finally, I welcome any ideas you have for the Union and look forward to meeting you at one of the Union events during 2011/12.
