This year’s union award recipient is Richard Humphreys (Class of ’84), better known now as The Hon. Mr. Justice Richard Humphreys.
Richard Humphreys is a Judge of the High Court. Prior to his appointment, he was a practising barrister since 1997 and Senior Counsel since 2009. He studied at St. Michael’s College from 1972 to 1984. He holds a BCL and LLM from UCD and a PhD from TCD. He has been called to the Northern Irish and English Bars. This year for the first time ever there will be a 40 year out class in attendance. The Class of ’76 are expected to be well represented at the dinner and include a number of legendary St Michael’s Men.
Other feature years include the Class of ’86 (30 years out), Class of ’96 (20 years out) and Class of ’06 (10 years out). We will also have 2 tables from the class of 2016 and a number of father and son past pupil combinations. (We don’t know of any Grandfather / Father / Son combinations yet but they won’t be long.)
The committee is delighted to announce KPMG and Arthur Cox and A&L Goodbody as sponsors for the dinner and we thank them for their generous support.

A variety of Sponsorship options are also available at the point of payment.
I look forward to seeing many familiar faces that evening.
